I build AI tools that take hours out of real work, then measure whether they did.
I’m Evan Yap, an Engineering Systems and Design student at the Singapore University of Technology and Design, studying for a dual degree with a Master’s in Technology Entrepreneurship as one of six recipients of its Technology Entrepreneurship Programme Scholarship. I work where data, automation and AI meet: agents that do the research, models that test the assumptions, and interfaces that make the answer easy to act on.
At Univers I’m an AI Business Consultant for aviation, transportation and logistics clients. I built an AI decarbonisation and audit agent that cuts about three hours of manual research from each facility audit, and calibrated an HVAC energy model that lands within 2–3 percentage points of observed consumption. I then turn that analysis into decision-ready business cases for the Senior Director, the Global Lead and senior client stakeholders.
Away from the keyboard I captain SUTD’s men’s floorball team, serve on my house executive committee, train as a HYROX athlete, volunteer in my church’s worship ministry and run on a lot of coffee.
